Patient Coordinator
Job Description Patient Coordinator
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable **Patient Coordinator** to join our growing Elgin Healthy Smiles team. This position is an important part of creating a positive experience for our patients from the moment they call or walk through our doors.
Responsibilities include:
* Greet patients and provide a warm, welcoming experience
* Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient communications
* Check patients in and out and maintain accurate patient information
* Verify insurance benefits and assist patients with understanding their financial options
* Present treatment estimates and help patients understand their recommended care
* Coordinate treatment appointments and follow up with patients as needed
* Collect payments and accurately process financial transactions
* Help maintain an organized and efficient front office
* Communicate closely with doctors and the clinical team to ensure a smooth patient experience
* Assist with patient recall, confirmations, and reactivation
* Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
* Contribute to a positive, supportive team environment
The ideal candidate is:
* Warm, friendly, and genuinely enjoys working with people
* Organized and detail-oriented
* Comfortable discussing treatment and finances with patients
* A strong communicator and team player
* Dependable and willing to jump in wherever needed
* Comfortable learning dental software and office systems
* Experienced in a dental office preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
full-time $15 - $19 per hour

Staff hours:** 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM or until the last patient has left the office
1-hour lunch break
Wednesday: Office closed
